Why blog about autism

Published by chunfai at 10:09 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Hello and welcome to my first blog. I know nothing about blogging or writing. I don’t really know everything about autism either. I work in the finance industry. However, I am happy to share with you my own research on the topic. When I was first informed of my son’s diagnosis of autism. It was simply overwhelming. I have heard tons of bad things about autism. There didn’t seem to be a trace of hope in sight. Should he be taking medications? Should he go to a special school? My wife and I battled through a lot of the issues. My prime concern was to keep my son growing happily. Education, of course, is important. Though, it is much less important than his self-esteem and psychologic development. My wife attended courses for parents. I attended weekend workshops and gulped up all accessible information. We held on tight. I wouldn’t say we’d made it. From my son’s constantly smiling face, I think we have learned something. I’m happy to write about what I’ve learned. Please make comments so that I can also learn something.
